Get Ready to Love Ground Turkey: A Lean, Flavorful, and Sustainable Alternative to Beef for EatWell Patients

We are happy to share that you will soon see new recipes starring ground turkey! We strive to make recipes you will love and will be excited to try. As such, we are constantly developing recipes with different ingredients and seasonings, getting inspiration from international cuisines, and, of course, your suggestions, too!

We chose turkey because it’s high protein ingredient, which helps with satiety, and is lower in saturated fat than beef. The American Heart Association recommends limiting saturated fat intake as it can raise your “bad” cholesterol, increasing the risk of heart disease and stroke. And from a culinary perspective, it is also a great ingredient to use! Turkey has a milder flavor than beef, so we season it with various spices, herbs, and sauces and pair it with all grains, legumes, and veggies.

At EatWell, we also aim for sustainability. Replacing beef with poultry is a simple step that can have a good impact on the reduction of CO2 footprint!
